Thomas Werner

Thomas Werner

Principal Executive Officer and Executive Chairman

Tom Werner previously served as SunPower’s chief executive officer from June 2003 to April 2021, as a member of the Board from June 2003, and as chairman of the Board from May 2011 to November 2021. From 2001 to 2003, before joining SunPower, he held the position of chief executive officer of Silicon Light Machines, Inc., an optical solutions subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation. From 1998 to 2001, Tom served as vice president and general manager of the Business Connectivity Group of 3Com Corp., a network solutions company. He also held a number of executive management positions at Oak Industries, Inc. and General Electric Co.

Tom currently serves as chair of the board of directors of Wolfspeed, Inc., a power semi-conductor manufacturer, and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, a non-profit for businesses that operate in Silicon Valley, and from March 2009 to January 2018 he served as a member of the board of directors of Silver Spring Networks, a provider of smart grid applications. He is also on the board of trustees of Marquette University. Tom also serves as Board Chair for H2U and Flo both private companies. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University, and a master’s degree in business administration from George Washington University.

Elizabeth Eby

Elizabeth Eby

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Principal Accounting Officer
Elizabeth Eby serves as SunPower’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. Ms. Eby served most recently as the chief financial officer of NeoPhotonics Corporation from August 2017 to August 2022. Prior to that, she grew her career at Intel Corporation, where she held several senior roles during her more than 25-year tenure, including vice president of finance and group chief financial officer for the Internet of Things business. Ms. Eby has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University.

Jennifer Johnston

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Jennifer Johnston serves as SunPower’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, holding responsibility for field operations, operations-residential installation, supply chain, sales channel operations, and customer care. Ms. Johnston has over 20 years of experience leading teams in operations, manufacturing, logistics, and finance. Prior to joining SunPower, she served as the chief operating officer and chief financial officer for a leading-edge robotic technology company that specializes in automating e-commerce order fulfillment. Before that, Ms. Johnston spent 10 years at Amazon in North America and Europe where she held both finance and business leadership positions, driving operational and financial scalability across each of the businesses. Ms. Johnston has also held various roles in both operations and finance at other large organizations including General Electric, Bristol Myers Squibb, Saint-Gobain, and the Gillette Company, where she oversaw complex operations, managed large teams, and drove significant improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ms. Johnston holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Northeastern University
Tony Garzolini

Tony Garzolini

Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer
Tony Garzolini is SunPower’s executive vice president and chief revenue officer, with over 20 years of experience in home energy. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of residential sales at Generac Power Systems where he was responsible for demand creation in its Clean Energy and Consumer Power business units. Prior to that, Tony held various sales and marketing leadership positions at SunPower for more than 13 years, including vice president of residential sales. Tony has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s in business administration from Northern Arizona University.

Eileen Evans

Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer
Eileen Evans serves as SunPower’s executive vice president and chief legal officer. She joins SunPower from Redaptive, an energy-as-a-service company, where she served as its chief legal and corporate affairs officer. Prior to Redaptive, Ms. Evans served as the senior vice president and deputy general counsel of enterprise software provider Micro Focus International PLC. Prior to that, she was a vice president and deputy general counsel in the legal departments of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Hewlett-Packard Company. Ms. Evans also served as an associate general counsel at Oracle Corporation and Sun Microsystems, Inc. Prior to her in-house roles, Ms. Evans was in private practice at Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich (now part of DLA Piper). Ms. Evans earned her bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley and her law degree from the University of California, Davis.
Josh Koppelman

Josh Koppelman

EVP, Chief Technology Officer

Josh Koppelman is the executive vice president, chief technology officer at SunPower, and has an over 25-year track record delivering capabilities that fuel strong revenue and organizational growth. Before SunPower, he was the technology and product leader of AWS Data Center Automation at Amazon, leading a team of software engineers, scientists, and product managers responsible for the automation that runs Amazon’s data centers, including server vetting and monitoring, infrastructure delivery, break-fix, asset management, labor management, security, and power monitoring. Prior to that role, he led Knowledge Experiences for the Alexa Information domain, and was a technology leader in Amazon Marketplace. Before Amazon, Josh held senior technology leadership roles at VistaPrint and Trilogy. Josh earned two bachelor’s degrees, in computer science and applied mathematics, and a master’s in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
